Whilst out and about on a family day out we decided to visit St Margarets Bay near Dover. Granted todays weather was not the best for visiting the coast but it was an out and about day anyway. So after a drive from Faversham around the coast taking in the coast road views from Whitstable, Broadstairs, Ramsgate, Deal and finally St Margarets Bay we were rather surprised to find this gentleman enjoying himself out on the surf.
Whilst I was checking out the horizon looking at the incoming Ferries, I noticed something darting across the waves, when my eyes had caught up with the thing it started to take shape and loom closer at rather a rapid speed. I could not believe how far out this windsurfer had ventured in this unpleasant weather. The shot below was taken after about a five minute wait with a 300mm lens so you can imagine how far he was out originally.
