“Devils In The Detail”
The cold weather is setting in and the colours of autumn are rapidly disappearing, being replaced by the bleakness of the winter palette.
So my weekend mission was to try and capture the last remnants of the autumn colours before they finally slip away. I also wanted to try and capture some of the frosts that we have been suffering over the last couple of weeks.
With that in mind I took a morning wander in the cold with nothing more than the camera with the macro lens attached and my 70-200 tucked away in a pocket just in case something else took my interest.
After a little drive I found a parking space behind Leeds Castle and decided to have a wander along the public foot paths that cut through the woods in the area and eventually cut through the grounds.
One thing that is alway a bonus when in the vicinity of Leeds Castle is the ability to stop off at Fairfax Hall and grab a decent meal and pot of tea, it also gives the feet a rest and an opportunity to have a look at the mornings catch so to speak.
So after a chilly outing in the frost covered morning and a hearty meal, I wandered the grounds of Leeds Castle until the first flurries of snow started to descend at which point I turned tail and started the trudge back to the car to return home to a warm fire and large cup of tea.
Here are the gatherings of the day which were processed in the warm with a large cup of fresh tea watching the whiteness gently start to settle.
Rainy Day Colours & Close Ups.
Well following on from my last post of nothing but feathers I thought this post should be something a little different so it is all about colours and nature, all of which are again from Leeds Castle and taken whilst the weather was overcast and rainy, so a normal day for Kent.
Some of the imageswhere taken with the trusty 90mm Tamron macro others with others from the bag of tricks.
