X100 Re-enactment Outing.
I visited the Military Odyssey show at Detling Show Ground for the first time on Saturday, normally I visit the War & Peace show once a year, however I missed it this year and decided to visit this show instead.
I must say I am glad that I did miss the War & Peace show as I found this show far more interesting, due to the variety of re-enactments that we being undertaken, there was everything from Romans to Second World War displays going on.
The only down side to my visit to the show on Saturday was the weather, there were several heavy downpours that halted my wander, however during those downpours I managed to stay dry by diving into the nearest tent or awning.
For this visit I decided to wander quite lightly and take along the X100 to see what I could make of the day photographically, being restricted to one focal length did not really bother me as I just carried on doing what I have been doing all month since getting the camera, and that is look a little harder for the shots.
Here are a selection of the images from Saturdays outing.
As previously stated all the images have been edited on the Ipad using the Snapseed app. I have found that I have no need to import the images to the mac for editing, only for archiving. This has reduced the workflow quite rapidly and I really enjoying the shooting and reduced processing time, which enables me to get back to being camera in hand and out and about.
I am thinking that over the weekend there might be another visit to the show, this time restricting myself to the 70-200 to see what I can get. Watch this space….

Candid Portraits… Get them on the Hop
The last post displayed portraits taken in the home using a blank wall to produce a nice clean white background, however I do like to catch people enjoying themselves whilst at events or just during everyday life.
Here is a selection of images from various events ranging from Weddings, Parties to Festivals/Events. I enjoy waiting for a moment to capture that brings a little more to the images and captures just that little bit more of the person in the image. Saying that sometimes all you capture is the person with nothing more added.
