Moody Coastal Bays.

I do like to try and produce more than one image from a frame and here are two alternate images from some of the Dorset trip images.

The first image is taken in Lulworth Cove and was taken from a High perspective on the cliffs on the right hand side of the Cove, was a bit of an interesting clamber to get up there as the ground under foot was muddy and not that stable, never the less up I went. I decide to process the image with a dark feel and removed the nice tones of the morning light that was captured in the original image, I think I prefer the image with a darker undertone.

The second image is a black an white conversion of one of the Kimmeridge Bay shots I have posted, I do not think it is the same frame but it was taken from roughly the same location, I feel the Black and White conversion add’s to the drama of the shot and enhances the water in the foreground but that is my own view and others may prefer the muted colour version in the Kimmeridge Bay Post.

Lulworth Cove

As mentioned in the previous post from Dorset trip I have quite a few images left to add to the blog, however not wanting to place them in one large blog post I will be producing several posts for the trips images, here are some shots from Lulworth Cove area.

First off we have a panorama of Lulworth Cove from a high vantage point above the cove.

I took this shot sometime between sunrise and the time that my stomach started to remind me that I had not taken advantage of the full english breakfast that was waiting for me in the B&B that I was staying in… because I wanted to see if the sunrise was going to offer any opportunities for me from this location I hauled myself out of bed 45 minutes prior to the sunrise which meant the kitchens at the B&B were not in full swing. However since the room was equipped with tea making facilities I was in a semi-human state for the couple of hours I was away from the B&B.

The morning light did offer up some nice light however it was very short lived and was over in a matter of minutes. Below is one of the first shots of the morning foray.

As the light changed and the colour started to disappear from the sky I wandered back to the middle of the cove and my interest was peaked by a stream that was emptying into the cove, I sat on the nearby steps watching the stream for several minutes looking for something or some position I could utilise in a shot.

I will add an additional post before the week is out that will contain additional image from the cove and other areas that were visited.

thanks for taking the time to visit the blog.
